Rekeys for newer homes
Most homes here were built in 1990 or later. New does not mean nobody else has a key. A rekey makes sure only yours work.
Rekeys, lockouts, smart locks, car keys, and business hardware across Kapolei. We come to you, every day from 6 AM to 9 PM.
Pacific Locksmith covers all of Kapolei as a mobile locksmith, from the Villages of Kapolei and the Hawaiian Home Lands communities to the shops around Ka Makana Ali'i and the business areas toward Kalaeloa. The work here is house and car lockouts, rekeys, new deadbolts and smart locks, car keys and fobs, and hardware for offices and stores. Key blanks and programming equipment ride in the van, which means one trip covers most jobs. When you call, we tell you a realistic arrival window. Hours are 6 AM to 9 PM, seven days a week.

Swap a builder-grade deadbolt for a keypad or smart lock, installed and set up while we are there.
Locked out of the front door or the garage entry. Non-destructive entry first, and we check ID before opening anything.
Shops, offices, and suites around Kapolei's shopping centers and business areas: new keys when an employee leaves, a master key setup, panic and exit hardware.
Lost the only key in a parking lot, or a fob that quit. New keys and fobs are cut and paired on the spot for most makes.
If your keys went missing, rekey the house first so they stop working, then replace the car key. One visit can cover both.
Kapolei is on the leeward side, in the Ewa district at the west end of the H-1.
The freeway reaches town at Exits 1 and 2 and the Kapolei Interchange at Wakea Street, and Kapolei Parkway, Kamokila Boulevard, and Farrington Highway are the main roads in town.
Coming out from town means the H-1, so you get an arrival window from us rather than a promise. Give us the street and the nearest cross street, or the entrance you parked near at Ka Makana Ali'i, and we will give you a realistic time.
Makakilo, Ko Olina, Kalaeloa, and Ewa Beach are next door, and get the same service.
All of Kapolei, and the west side around it.
The state-planned villages that make up much of residential Kapolei.
The Malu'ohai, Kaupe'a, and Kanehili homesteads.
Kapolei Hale, the State Office Building, and the shops around Kapolei Commons.
The mall at Kualakai and Kapolei Parkways and the newer homes around it.
The former Barbers Point Naval Air Station, now homes, businesses, and the harbor area.
The hillside above town, the resort side, and Ewa Beach next door.
Most of Kapolei is recent. The median home here was built in 2006, and 97 percent date from 1990 or later, according to Census survey data.
That makes the hardware younger, but it says nothing about who has keys. A home that changed hands, or a rental between tenants, can have copies out there that nobody kept track of.
A rekey fixes that without replacing anything. The locks stay, the pins change, and every old key stops working.
Many neighborhoods here sit under the Villages of Kapolei Master Association or another homeowners' association. If you plan to change the look of an exterior door or add a keypad, check the association's rules first.
Very few, but there are honest limits. Most house, office, and car locks open without damage. High-security cylinders are built to resist picking, and now and then the only way through one is to drill it, which we talk through with you first. A budget safe with a lost combination often does not survive being opened. And we will not open anything for someone who cannot show they belong there.
For most lock and key work, yes. You skip the tow, the drive to a shop, and the second trip, because the cutting and programming gear comes to you. The trade-off is waiting for an arrival window instead of walking in, and we give you that window honestly when you call.
Usually, yes. Most smart and keypad deadbolts fit a standard door already prepared for a deadbolt, so it is a straight swap. Older or unusual doors can need some adjustment, and we tell you before we start.
Call now and talk to a real local locksmith, or send a request and we will get right back to you.
