House lockouts
Locked out anywhere in town. Non-destructive entry first, after we confirm you live there.
Lockouts, rekeys, new deadbolts, and car keys across Kaneohe and the bay side. We come over the mountains every day, 6 AM to 9 PM.
Pacific Locksmith covers Kaneohe as a mobile locksmith, from Ha'iku and Keapuka to Pu'ohala, Kapunahala, and the bay side at Kokokahi. Jobs here range from house and car lockouts to rekeys, stiff or rusted locks brought back, new deadbolts and smart locks, car keys and fobs, and locks for businesses around Windward Mall. All the cutting and programming gear rides along, so one visit usually wraps it up. We tell you a real arrival window on the phone, and we are working 6 AM to 9 PM, seven days a week.

About six in ten homes here were built before 1980. Rekey after you buy, and the previous owners' keys stop working.
Constant damp is hard on cylinders. We clean and service locks that drag, and replace the ones past saving.
A new deadbolt where there is only a knob, or a keypad deadbolt on the front door, installed while we are there.
Shops and offices around Windward Mall, Windward City, and Kamehameha Highway: rekeys when staff change, master keys, exit hardware.
A lost car key or a fob that quit in the rain. We cut and program most keys and fobs at the car.
From town we cross the Ko'olau range on the Likelike Highway through the Wilson Tunnels, or on the H-3, which opened in 1997. Kahekili Highway runs along the mountain side of town and Kamehameha Highway through the business district.
Both mountain crossings carry commuter traffic, so we quote an arrival window rather than a fixed time.
Tell us the street and nearest cross street, or the mall entrance you parked near, and you get a straight answer on timing.
Kailua, Ahuimanu, He'eia, and Temple Valley are next door, and we head there too.

The rain gauge at the State Hospital next to Windward Community College averages about 69 inches a year, per the State Data Book. Honolulu airport gets about a third of that, so it is roughly three times as much water on every door, gate, and car in town.
Damp is hard on locks here. Moisture works into the cylinder, the pins start to stick, and one day the key will not turn or snaps off.
A dry lubricant made for locks, used a couple of times a year, helps. Oil and household sprays attract grit and make it worse over time.
The housing is also mature: the median home in Kaneohe was built in 1973, per the Census Bureau's American Community Survey. Between the rain and the years, a lot of original hardware is due for a look.
Yes. We install new deadbolts and replace old ones, including adding one to a door that only has a knob. We can key it to match your other locks, so one key still runs the house.
Usually, yes. If the lock can be opened, by key or by picking, the cylinder comes out and gets new pins like any other rekey. If it cannot, we open the door first and then rekey.
For a lockout, yes, with ID showing it is your place. For other work, someone you have authorized can let us in, as long as you arrange it with us ahead of time.
